Youths in custody following ‘fleeing driver incident’

Three youths are in custody following a police pursuit in Christchurch on Wednesday afternoon.

A police spokesperson told Chris Lynch Media a stolen vehicle was stopped on Linwood Avenue around 4:15pm and the group attempted to escape on foot.

All the occupants of the fleeing driver incident were swiftly taken into custody by attending staff, the spokesperson said.

Police are considering appropriate charges.
