Teenage girl allegedly stabbed by woman after getting off Christchurch bus
A teenage girl has allegedly been stabbed after getting off a bus in Christchurch.
A police spokesman confirmed they were notified of “an assault on Pensacola Crescent” in Broomfield at 12:29PM.
The 16-year-old’s mother took to a Facebook community page to discuss the incident.
“My child was stabbed by a woman (maybe pregnant) getting off the 130 bus.”
The mother said her daughter was being treated at Christchurch hospital.
“She is OK. We are still in hospital waiting for the doctor’s treatment plans to follow through.
She never wants to bus again, emotionally not too good.”
“My child tried flagging down cars and no one stopped to help her" the mother said.
“We have an appointment [with a detective tomorrow at 2pm” she told Chris Lynch Media.
“Absolutely horrifying experience for my child, she is still coming to terms with it.
She’s a very good child and keeps to herself.”
A St John spokeswoman said they responded with an ambulance and a rapid response unit to the scene.
“We assessed, treated, and transported one patient in a moderate condition to Christchurch hospital.”
A police spokesman said enquiries wee ongoing to determine the circumstances.
