Serious crash north of Ashburton
There’s been a serious crash north of Ashburton.
A St John spokeswoman said St John was notified of a motor vehicle incident on SH1 near Ashburton at 9:05AM.
They responded with two ambulances, one rapid response unit, one manager and a helicopter.
“We have assessed and treated two patients in a minor condition at the scene, one patient in a serious condition and one patient in a minor condition airlifted to Christchurch hospital, and one patient in a moderate condition transported to Ashburton hospital via road.”
SH1 was blocked north of Ashburton, near the intersection with Winchmore Dromore Rd, but has since reopened.
