Serious crash involving truck and car in Ashburton

Emergency services are responding to a serious two vehicle crash involving a car and a truck on Rakaia Highway, Ashburton reported around 10:20am.

A police spokesperson said there are serious injuries.

Both lanes of the road are blocked.

Motorists are advised to avoid the area and take an alternative route.
