Gang members turn up at ED after being “assaulted” in Christchurch

Two gang members, believed to be associated with the Mongols, have been injured in an attack.

It follows what was described as a “gang event” held in Christchurch over the weekend which saw police issue multiple infringements for unlawful driving behaviour.

One motorcycle was impounded.

Chris Lynch Media understands a stabbing incident related to the Mongols took place early this morning.

A Police spokeswoman confirmed that two gang members arrived at ED this morning with injuries consistent with an assault.

She said they did not provide any details around what happened.

The injuries are not reported to be serious the police spokeswoman said.
