Woman arrested in Christchurch after threatening to stab members of public
A woman has been arrested after an incident at Godley Heads.
A witness said the woman was carrying a knife and was in a stolen Holden Colorado ute.
He said the woman tried to ram into vehicles and attempted to stab members of the public with a knife.
A police spokeswoman told Chris Lynch Media a woman was taken into custody following the incident.
Police were called at around 2.25pm after reports of a person making threats with a weapon in a carpark.
Police attended and subsequently took the person into custody.
Thankfully, no one was injured.
Enquiries to establish the circumstances of the incident are ongoing the police spokeswoman said.
