Woman arrested after allegedly making threats then failing to stop for police

A 22-year-old woman has been arrested after allegedly making threats and fleeing in a vehicle this afternoon.

A police spokeswoman said at about 2.15pm, police were called to an address in Islington after reports of the woman making threats.

The woman then fled the area in a vehicle.

Police sighted the vehicle and did not initiate a pursuit the police spokeswoman said.

The woman was eventually arrested.

She is facing multiple charges and is due to appear in the Christchurch District Court tomorrow police spokeswoman said.
