WATCH: Police chase across Christchurch city ends in arrests
It's about 3.45AM Thursday morning, and it's just as well there's no traffic on the roads.
Christchurch resident Jade Cross catches the moment police are in pursuit of a car that fails to stop in Marshland.
A police spokeswoman said officers tried to pull over the car on Main North Road around 3:20am - but the driver failed to stop.
The vehicle was spiked a short time later, however the vehicle continued on Queen Elizabeth II Drive and then through multiple suburbs across the North East and North West of Christchurch.
The vehicle drove through suburbs of Redwood, Belfast, Papanui, Merivale, Richmond, and Marshlands.
At around 4:15am the vehicle came to a stop on Marshlands Road near Mairehau Road and two men were taken into custody.
Police said charges are being considered for an 18 year-old man, and a female youth.
