Serious crash near Castle Hill closes State Highway 73

Emergency services are at the scene of a serious crash involving two-vehicles on West Coast Road, near Castle Hill.

A police spokesperson said they were notified of the crash at 4:48PM

Initial indications suggest there are injuries the spokesperson said.

Motorists are asked to avoid the area and expect delays.

NZTA said SH 73 Springfield to Arthurs Pass Village is currently closed.
