Power cut in several Christchurch areas

Power has been cut to several areas of Christchurch.

Electricity went off at 2.07PM affecting over a thousand customers.

Traffic lights are out near the Christchurch airport.

Areas affected include Avonhead, Broomfield, Harewood, Russley, Yaldhurst.

Power has been cut to all of shops and restaurants at Spitfire Square, including the Countdown supermarket.

Orion hopes to have power restored by 4.30PM.
