Person seriously injured in Summit Road crash

A person has been seriously injured in a crash on Summit Road overnight.

A police spokesman said police responded to the single vehicle crash near Worsley’s and Gebbies Pass Roads around 11pm.

It’s understood the vehicle rolled.

A St John spokesman said they sent an ambulance and a rapid response vehicle.

One patient was assessed at the scene and transported to Christchurch Hospital in a serious condition

The road was partially blocked for a time but was cleared by 1:30am, the police spokesman said.
