Person hit by BB gun pellet in central Christchurch

Christchurch police are investigating after a person was hit by a BB gun pellet early this morning.

A police spokesman said at 2.35am on Thursday, police were called to Hereford Street after a person reported being hit by a BB pellet that was fired from a vehicle.

 The vehicle was seen turning from Hereford Street onto Cathedral Square.

It’s understood the incident happened outside a bar.

Enquiring are ongoing to locate the vehicle the police spokesman said.
