Person dead in crash involving 3 motorbikes

A person has died in a crash on State Highway 94, also known as the Milford Sound Highway, just south of the Homer Tunnel.

In a statement, police said the crash occurred about 10.50am and involved three motorbikes.

One of the riders died at the scene, while two others suffered moderate-to-serious injuries.

The road remains closed ahead of a Serious Crash Unit investigation.
