Person critically injured in Ashburton crash

Emergency services are at the scene of a two vehicle crash in Ashburton.

A police spokesperson said the crash was reported around 5:40pm on Longbeach Road near Winslow Willowby Road.

A person is in a critical condition, and a helicopter is enroute.

The Serious Crash Unit has been advised.

The road is blocked and motorists are advised to expect delays.
