More than 2000 residents lose power in Canterbury

More than 2000 customers are without power tonight in Canterbury.

Power was cut just after 7PM to residents in Darfield, Halswell, Rolleston, Southbridge, Weedons.

Orion said field staff investigating the outage, but there’s no word yet on how it was caused.
