Large police presence in Linwood after firearm brandished at dog unit

There is a significant police presence in Linwood this evening following an incident where a firearm was brandished at a police dog handler unit.

A resident reported witnessing numerous officers converging on Buckleys Road, readying their firearms for response.

A police spokesman confirmed to Chris Lynch Media a firearm was presented, but the unit was not shot at.

“Police are still attendance and seeking a person of interest” the spokesman said.
