13 Fire appliances have successfully extinguish a large hedge blaze in Rolleston

Emergency services were called to the fire off Weedons Road at about 2.15PM

The fire was about 200 metres in length when crews arrived.

A fire command unit was set up and police patrols were called for traffic control.

At the peak of the blaze there were 13 fire appliances and a helicopter.

Power authorities switched off local supplies.
