Landslide closes road on South Island’s West Coast

A landslide has closed a road on the South Island’s West Coast.

A police spokesperson said Denniston Road, in Waimangaroa is closed following a landslide.

Motorists are asked to avoid the area and expect delays while the road is cleared.

The road is expected to be shut for some hours to come.
