Jillian Frater has been elected the Lyttelton representative on the Banks Peninsula Community Board.

Voting closed at midday Saturday and results show Frater has received 952 votes while Vicki Tahau-Paton has 326 votes

Christchurch City Council Electoral Officer Jo Daly said the final results will be confirmed next week.

“Progress results to date so far indicate we have had 48.8 percent of electors participate in the by-election,”

“It’s great to see so many turn out to support Lyttleton – thank you to the two candidates who put their names forward, and to everyone who voted.”

Progress results are the ordinary votes counted up to 16 February 2024.

Final results will include votes received today and special votes.

Frater has worked as a planner for various councils and as a consultant for over 20 years.

Currently, she works part-time as a lecturer at the University of Canterbury.
