Firefighters at vegetation fire in North Canterbury

Firefighters remain at the scene of a vegetation fire in Loburn.

They were called to Traceys Road at 3.35pm

The blaze was 400 metres by 100 metres in size.

Crews from Woodend, Rangiora, Sefton, and Amberley are at the scene.

A helicopter has been assisting ground staff but has since been stood down.

A Fire and Emergency Command Unit is at the scene.
