Emergency services responding to jet boat crash

Emergency services are responding to a jet boat crash in Rakaia.

They received a call at 3.50PM to the Rakaia River where it’s understood a small jet boat has ran aground.

Three people have suffered injuries.

The accident scene is thought to be near Somerton Road, inland from the Rakaia township.

A helicopter has been called to the scene to help ambulance staff.
