A neighbour told Chris Lynch Media she was putting something in her car when she heard smashing glass.

“I called 111 to report it and walked around the corner. The pub was smashed for the second night in a row.”

The police officer told her a Demio was involved and the offenders had targeted a fish and chip shop minutes earlier.

The door at Cracroft Seafoods in Cashmere was boarded up on Tuesday morning.

The brother of the owner of Sharkey’s said he spent the night at the pub guarding the premises following the second attack.

Yesterday pub owner Anthony Carrington said he was sick of the lack of consequences for offenders and their parents.
