6 youths arrested in Hornby following dangerous crime spree

A group of 6 out of control youths have been arrested in Hornby after a 24 hour crime wave.

Chris Lynch Media understands the youths evaded police multiple times, while stealing cars and driving dangerously across Christchurch.

Their joyriding crime spree came to an end on Sunday night when police apprehended the six youths in a stolen vehicle.

A police spokesman said just before 5PM, police spotted the stolen vehicle travelling in the Hornby area.

 The vehicle was located on Chappie Place around 5.25pm.

 Police attended and recovered the car and apprehended six youths at the scene the spokesman said.
